Just Call Me Garden Girl

Ok, I'm dreadfully sorry, but be prepared for picture overload...I just couldn't resist frolicking in the leaves and Sean just kept snapping away...and I have a problem making decisions...so that's the reason for all the pictures :) just stick with me, k?

Happy Halloween! This is always the weirdest holiday for me. I never know what to dress up as, and over the past few years I haven't done a single thing for Halloween because I'm too old to trick or treat and I definitely don't party or enjoy dressing up as a scantily clad nurse or policewoman or whatever else other college girls do. I decided as I was leaving for church this morning that I sort of resembled a garden-could that be a future costume idea? I was even wearing birdie earrings and a floral skirt to complete the look ;) haha.
Anyway, this year, I am so excited to be married and have some sort of a house for trick or treaters to come to!!! We are right in town, so I hope I get lots of little princesses and cowboys and the like. I was so excited that I bought candy weeks ago (at the prompting of my hubby) and this morning after church I got out the bowl and was like "can I fill it now PLEASE??!" haha, it was fun. Hopefully they will be coming soon and I will get to enjoy all of the cuteness that this holiday brings :)
Hope you had a great weekend and have a blessed week!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Playing Dress Up

Very quick post tonight. I've been a busy bee today. Laundry really takes it out of you! That and more and more homework :P bleh. It's not really difficult work, just time consuming. Plus, I attempted to sleep in today instead of staying up after Sean leaves at around 7 am. Sleeping in doesn't work anymore. I couldn't even get back to sleep, and when I did it was just a bunch of crazy dreams! But no matter, this weekend I get to see comedian Ken Davis and hang out with some friends and my beautiful sister! So it should be wonderful :)
As far as the outfit, I just played dress up with the hubby's clothes for a little bit...it was fun :D I decided to go with absolutely nothing on my face except some red lipstick...I'm not sure I was happy with the outcome....but again-dress up!! I'm six...:)
Halloween is coming up soon! I'm excited that we may actually have some trick or treaters come to our house since we are right in town! Actually there better be trick or treaters because I bought a bunch of candy and don't want to have to eat it all by myself....haha..ha...ha...ok I lied-but I still want to see all the cute little kids in their costumes!! Except I have no idea what to dress up as! If you have ideas PLEASE leave me a comment with an idea-I am so lost when it comes to Halloween costumes! Hope you have a great weekend all! Keep thinking every day of at least one blessing God has given you :) It will help keep you sane-trust me :)
God Bless,
KJA

Psalm 139:1-5
1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.

5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.

New Life

Blogging early today! Apparently I'm doing anything I can to put off the classroom management assignment that's due at midnight tonight...sigh. It shouldn't take me too long though.
The last couple days have been crazy awesome! I skipped the last two days of classes so that I could go visit my brand new little nephew in the hospital!!! I tell ya, my sister has the most beautiful children I've ever seen (and no, I'm not biased ;) ) He's pretty much perfect and so nice to cuddle!!! He has the softest mop of dark hair on his head and the cutest little ears ever. I loved every minute I got to see him and my family :)

Today is just back to classes and I actually really need to clean the house...so we'll see how that one goes...:) haha.
Love you all!
God Bless,
KJA

This is the perfect passage to read when thinking about new life :D

Psalm 139:13-17
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to [b] me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

This outfit looked a lot better in the mirror than it does in the pictures today...perhaps that's because it is sooo gloomy outside that the lighting looks terrible.
I had a meeting to go to today and I wanted to look somewhat professional for it. That meant a suit jacket! I love suit jackets-they hide so many flaws and make it look like you are all dressed up-when in reality they are very comfy! This one has such a fun lining to it too-it is lined with green material on the inside with a pink stripe running through it-I love it!

I'm loving the rain too-as usual :) Pretty soon here it will be snow, which I am not looking forward to....I wore this scarf for a little warmth though-it is probably my favorite scarf that I own, so I probably shouldn't have taken it out when there was rain forecasted, but that's ok. It is soooo soft and just the most perfect thing ever...I loves it :D
Hope you're all having a great Monday!
God Bless,
KJA

Third time's the charm!

Just a quick post today :)
The hubby and I just went to church today and have since then spent the day on the couch watching the back to the future trilogy-I've never seen them, which apparently is a tragedy :P haha.
Of course I had to try out this dress one more time-It is so comfy and soft and it was really fun to see how many ways I could wear it in one weekend-with the changing weather and various events going on, I should try this every weekend! :):)

Church today was awesome! We had a guest speaker and he was just hilarious-what did you learn about in church today? :)

This is what we learned about:
2 Timothy 4: 16-17
At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth.

Sean and his best friend decided to match today. I bought Sean this sweater at the dollar store for 90 cents and he decided that his friend Jordan should have one just like it...aren't they cute?
