Saturday, May 28th

These are the wonderful photos that my hubby took of me on Saturday, May 28th-the day of my friend's wedding! The wedding was very beautiful :) The bride and groom were stunning and I'm so glad we made the long trek to go see the ceremony! There was also a short reception, but my hubby and I didn't know many people there, so after we talked to a few old friends we took off back to the hotel and hit the pool! It was such a great weekend.

I chose to wear one of my grandma's old dresses. She made matching dresses for her and my aunt to wear, and I believe this is probably the one that my aunt wore :) It's such a perfect color-especially for a summer wedding!

Rainbows :)

Genesis 9:16
Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend! Sean and I made the trip to Fargo for a friend's wedding and we had many adventures (and no computer...) Along the way :)
I'm gonna break up the pictures into a few posts throughout the next couple of days as I have to work and a combined post would be super-de-duper long!
Today I will document our Friday, May 27th :)

When I got home from work we drove to my hometown so that we would be closer to the wedding and not have to make a four hour trip in one day! It rained like crazy the whole way there and after eating a wonderful supper at home with my parents the rain stopped and there was this gorgeous rainbow. It was almost a very faint double rainbow! I didn't change the color in the pictures because it was really dark and gorgeous and I love how they look.

The rainbow only stayed out for about three minutes, but it was glorious. I love the display of God's promise in a beautiful array of colors painted across the clouds :) breathtaking!

My mama took the photos of me :) It was so good to go home and talk with my parents :) I miss them! My mama bought watermelon just for me-(my favorite!!) and we had spaghetti, which was one of my favorite meals growing up (still is!) and is definitely a home-y comfort food :D

I also got pictures of the sunset coming through the trees. The earth really looks amazing after a nice rain and I'm so glad I brought my camera to document the beauty!
Ps: Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks God :) :D

Needing to transition...

Just got home from work, talking to my gorgeous mama on the phone :) Not much to say other than I love vintage blouses, but you knew that! I'm also positive that as summer comes upon us you will be seeing these shorts all the stinking time. I love them. So there. It's probably a little too warm for a cardigan-but I seem to be having a hard time making the transition into spring/summer attire. I'm much better at throwing on a bunch of layers to cover up than dressing for warmer weather!

Have a lovely night all :)

Scared of the Wind

There was no way I was going to bring my camera and tripod outside today! The wind is just insane so I decided to take pictures indoors. :) I'm just wearing a comfy hanging around the house outfit. This scarf is one of my favorites and it's so random that it is just a long piece of fabric I fell in love with a few years ago! I was going to do something creative with it, like make a skirt-but I just decided that I had no sewing skills and started wrapping it around my neck instead. :D

I've been trying to do laundry, but the machines have been full all day! That's the way it goes in an apartment. I'm STILL putting off doing the dishes. I'm afraid they're going to start smelling soon...ew. Bah I hate housework. Having Sean gone for the week is definitely not helping. Instead of getting my tush off the couch to throw something away I'm just like "eh, I'll just set it next to me and throw it away later" There's crap all over the place and I'm going to need to do some major cleaning before my hubby gets home!

Are you all super excited for the Oprah finale today? Come on, I know it's like the biggest event in your lives right now. I'm totally gonna get myself set on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and tissues and just cry.
BAHAHAHAHAHA I hope you didn't believe that....because it's not gonna happen! I maybe cry at Dr. Phil, but not Oprah! *snicker*

Hope you have a great Wednesday all you lovelies! I'm ready to sit down and eat some fresh cornbread right out of the oven! mmmmmmm :)

Not Sure...

I have to work tonight, but I didn't want to spend all day in my pj's-so I decided to throw on a comfy dress and sweater! I've been seeing fedoras all over my blog roll, so I was definitely inspired to wear this fun hat that my sister gifted to me a few years ago-it's one of my favorites! I can't wear it when it is too windy out though or it might blow away :)

It took me a while to get going on my run this morning. All I wanted to do was lay in bed and smell Sean's pillow :( Only a few more days before he's back from Delaware! I'm not really enjoying the time by myself. Maybe when we've been married for a few years I won't mind if we're apart for a week-but right now it's really tough!

Without going into detail, I would appreciate prayers going out to my sister's family. A tragedy happened and I'm sure they need all the prayer they can get.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Coming up Roses

Just a quiet day at home today. I'm planning to run errands later but I prefer being lazy :)I got to do a little babysitting this morning for some friends of ours! They have an adorable little girl who I believe is about two months old :) She's precious.

I'm kind of in love with this jumpsuit. I feel like when the weather warms up I can roll up the pants and wear this to a beach or something! It's very breezy and flowy. I wasn't sure about the white when I bought this baby for under 2 dollars, but I couldn't resist the sweet little roses on the top! They're my favorite :)

The weather can't make up it's mind today. It is super sunny, and then really cloudy 20 minutes later. It also looks like there's a storm brewing in the background-we'll see if we get more rain!

Hope your Monday is fabulous!
God Bless,
