My head is feeling a bit lighter...

I donated 12 more inches of hair this weekend! It was totally spur of the moment (I didn't think I had enough to donate, but I see I was wrong) and the hair is going to Wigs for Kids! It's a tad shorter than I thought but I'm already having a lot of fun with the style. I feel like I can do a lot of different things with it, from Marilyn inspired hair to 1930's finger waves. It already fits so much better with my style so I'm loving that aspect of it. It's the shortest I have had it since 8th grade so it makes me feel like a little girl, but I'm sure it will feel like me in no time :)

Have a great week everyone!

Isaiah 53:3-4
He was despised and rejected by mankind,  a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces  he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,  stricken by him, and afflicted.

Vintage Leopard Print Slouch Hat

Hello, hello!
Life is a funny thing, cats. There are so many things one wants to do and not nearly enough discernment (or time for that matter) to decide which 'thing' to devote one's time to. I've been forcing myself to stay away from the computer and spend more time doing art, singing, working on my 5k time, dreaming about learning how to finally sew (my next big goal)... If I could only pick one thing and make that thing my thing and I'd be stellar at it, but instead I am mediocre at each because I can't decide which I like best :)
Anyone else feel the same way?

Anyway, red swing trousers, grandma's sweater, and a hat which you can purchase here in my shop were what I wore to church the other day. One of my favorites! The hat is in remarkably perfect condition and stayed on all day without requiring pins! What a gem.

Have a great week darlings!

God Bless,
KJA

1 Corinthians 6:12

Outfit: Vintage Men's Wranglers

Just checking in with a pair of grandpa's jeans and saddle shoes! Blogging has kind of taken a back seat to actual human interaction lately, but I'm hoping to still post once a week from now on because I don't want to give it up entirely :)

Happy start to your week, friends!

Outfit: 1938

There is now a story to go with this outfit.
Sean and I went grocery shopping the other day and a woman stopped me to tell me that I reminded her of photos of her mother from 1938. I could have grabbed that woman and kissed her! 1938 is like the perfect decade, right where I want to be :)

It was incredibly windy and sunny whist taking these photos, so my hair is absolutely everywhere-however I did try pincurling it for the first time! My mom used to do it for me when I was a kid, but I thought I'd take a stab at it myself once. I did larger chunks of hair and it was actually quite difficult because my hair is so fine it just wanted to fall out of the pincurl, but once I got the hang of it it worked out pretty swell. I liked the result better than curlers-the curls were nice and loose and much easier to work with!

Deuteronomy 6:6-7
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
